fa عمومى General پژوهشي Research <span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="line-height:115%"><span style="font-family:&quot;Times New Roman&quot;,serif"><span lang="TR" style="color:black">Mood disorders could be frequently observed in multiple sclerosis (MS) patients. </span>Mood disorders are common condition in multiple sclerosis with high prevalence rates, for example annually prevalence rate of depression is as high as 20% and lifetime prevalence rates is 50%. In addition it observed that bipolar disoder and other cognitive disorders were common in these patients. <span lang="TR" style="color:black">However, the comorbidity of&nbsp; psychiatric problems and amont of&nbsp; brain damage is </span><span lang="TR" style="color:black">not clear</span><span lang="TR" style="color:black">. Therfore, this study aimed to investigate the correlation between the active plaques of MS cases&#39; brain MRI and co-occurrence of different </span>cognitive disorders <span style="color:black">in the same patients. </span>This literature review project was designed based on standard guidelines to evaluate the related data about brain MRI active plaques and cognitive disorders in multiple sclerosis. The study words, which were combined with each other, were &ldquo;Mood Disorders&rdquo;, &ldquo;Active Plaques&rdquo;, &ldquo;Multiple Sclerosis&rdquo;, &ldquo;MRI&rdquo;, &ldquo;Depression&rdquo;, &ldquo;Cognitive disorders&rdquo;, and &ldquo;Bipolar Disorder&rdquo;, the data were extracted and compared.
